Located in the North West of Beijing at the foot of West Hill we sought to see ways in which plants were displayed and gather ideas on design and layout with the variety of plants found.

In the midst of the garden a modern conservatory had been raised. The conservatory holds a total of 3000 plant taxa grown in crystal sections including rainforest house, cacti & succulent house, orchid & carnivorous house, alpine house, foliage plant house and flower show house.

The curators of the plant exhibition didn’t seem to think that their plants were enough cause of ‘excitement’ and had thus added plastic models of dinosaurs. There was an extensive variation of plants including some of which we hadn’t come across before.
