Neural is one of the most influential magazines about digital culture. It was established in 1993 and co-founded by Alessandro Ludovico.
Its topics are based on media art, especially the networked and conceptual use of technologies in art, hacktivism, meant as digital media activism, and electronic music, investigating experiments in music and technology, including the scattered galaxy of sound art. The magazine's mission is to collect ideas and also to be a node in a larger network of digital culture publishers and practitioners.
