Glowing (dead) Prawns

Photos can hardly capture natural bioluminescent bacteria, for their glow seems more magnificent than what a camera can reproduce.

Foraging on the surface of these prawns were a lawn of bacteria called
Pseudomonas Fluorescence
that produces a green blue fluorescence.

Invisible in natural light... it reminds us that sometimes you have to be in the dark to see bacteria - we avoided them instinctively, although they probably wouldn't cause us any serious damage.
