Conservatory Centre in Hong Kong Park

2006

Hong Kong is a very tall and humid city, and though reluctant we find amongst the skyscrapers a strangely laid out park. Enclosed by the city’s skyline we wander amongst plants and begin to wonder what the role these plants play in an otherwise technological and fast moving city. We are reminded of George Gessert's hybrids as we enter the conservatory with the many hybrid phaleonopsis. Here we find it a popular photographical subject to the Hong Kong photographers both professional and amateurs.
