China Art Gallery

2006

Possibly the most visitors we’ve seen at an art exhibition in China.  As we enter, a media event with numerous people taking photos of artists and works (paintings, illustrations of world leaders, traditional Chinese style paintings).  It was notable that the works felt more decorative than artistic perhaps a result of framing and mounting, and there was a distinct feeling that the selection had been politically/culturally moderated.
